Description
Under intense track conditions, the factory-fitted CV boots on the G8x BMW M2, M3 and M4 are prone to cracking and premature failure due to excessive heat exposure—especially when running an aftermarket exhaust.
Over time, this can cause grease leaks, CV joint wear, and eventual driveline issues—especially under aggressive track conditions.
– Statement from BMW
“Extreme racetrack operation leads in case of the G80, G81, G82, G83 & G87 and the associated Competition models to high temperatures at the gaiters of the rear output shafts on the final drive unit side. In the event of gaiter damage that indicates this cause of damage, alternatively also the more temperature-resistant rear output shafts of the special models G80CS, G82CS & G82CSL can be installed in the workshops.”
We’ve engineered precision driveshaft heat shields to provide superior thermal protection, effectively deflecting radiant heat and extending the lifespan of critical drivetrain components. Designed for enthusiasts who push their cars to the limit, our heat shields offer a simple yet essential upgrade for enhanced durability and reliability on and off the track.
