Description
M2/M3/M4s make big power right off the assembly line, and are frequently driven hard. Massive horsepower cars are not unusual. All of this wouldn’t present a problem – except – BMW built provisions for dual rear differential bushings, however only utilized one! Early cars are especially failure-prone, with differential bushings being hydraulic (fluid filled) and even street-driven cars are known to fail in as little as 30,000 miles.
With the Turner Motorsport Dual-Mount Differential Plate, you capitalize on this second bushing location, prolonging bushing life and more positively affixing the differential, resulting in the tendency for wheel hop and providing crisper driveline response.
Soft factory rubber differential bushings absorb vibrations between the chassis and differential, providing comfort and softness for normal driving conditions. However, differential bushings are a wear item. They are not designed to last the life of the car and should be inspected periodically, especially if you drive more aggressively, as this can also wear out these bushings even faster. If you notice any cracking in the bushings, its probably time to replace them, for the best driving feel and experience. Not only are the factory bushings quite soft, but they also wear out rather quickly. Countless F8X owners have already reported cracked/worn bushings.
Enter our ECS Tuning In-House Engineered Performance Polyurethane Differential Bushings. Our bushings provide a more enhanced driving experience by removing unwanted movement from the driveline. By eliminating the drivetrain deflection that factory rubber bushings permit, throttle response is improved, and the tendency for a car to “Wheel Hop” is significantly reduced. Our Bushings are engineered to withstand extreme driveline forces, so you can always count on them to perform in even the harshest conditions.
All this translates to better power transfer from the differential to wheels, which means better throttle control and handling while carving a canyon road, drag racing, sliding the rear end out, or just driving to work. This is achieved without the harshness or vibration associated with delrin or solid differential mounts.
Featuring a tough 95A Durometer Red Polyurethane, and Black Anodized 6061-T6 aluminum Sleeve, our Performance Polyurethane Differential Bushings are more resistant to chemicals, ozone degradation, road salt, and general wear and tear than factory rubber bushings, resulting in a longer life span.
