The MMX Rear Diff OEM Bush Aluminium Insert Kit ‘Single Rear Mount’ (MMR55-1618) is a precision machined upgrade to the factory G8x M2, M3 and M4 differential mounts. The OEM rubber bushes are tuned with comfort in mind, and under the torque of the S58 they deflect, letting the differential move during launches, hard acceleration and fast changes of direction. The result is a rear end that feels less connected than the rest of the chassis.
The inserts fill the voids in the factory bushes, limiting that movement while the rubber stays in place to do its job. Four smaller inserts support the front mounting points and one larger insert supports the single rear mount, so the whole differential is held more firmly rather than one point in isolation. There’s no perceivable increase in noise, vibration or harshness inside the cabin, and the inserts can be removed at any time to return the car to stock.
The design has been proven on the M-Lite platform across F2x and F3x vehicles before being developed specifically for the G8x M-cars.
